This session will explore the Islamic constructs around Islam’s support for entrepreneurial behavior with particular reference to technology-based initiatives. Leveraging information from the life of the Prophet (saw), Qur’an, and hadiths the speaker will explore an Islamic perspective on entrepreneurial behavior and how we can do good while doing well. Session II: Robotics/Artificial Intelligence: What does the future look like?

This session deals with the socio-economic effects of Robotics and Artificial Intelligence (AI). As more and more tasks are performed by robots, will robots cause more joblessness or allow Humans to pursue more challenging endeavors? In many countries the population is growing rapidly old and robots are used increasingly to assist the elderly. What will the effects be on society from the increased use of household robots?
